These images have no distortion at periphery, a uniform resolution and an even brightness. Telecom NSG SELFOC Lenses are used in high-speed telecommunications applications. Our Micro Lenses are the basic building blocks for many fiber optic products. These self-focusing lenses are used to focus or collimate light in a wide variety of signal transmission applications. Their gradient-index composition, single piece construction and rod shape make them ideal for focusing light from a laser or LED into a singlemode fiber optic cable. Other applications include optical isolators, collimators and DWDM devices. Data Communications NSG manufactures a line of Laser Diode and Photo Diode Optical Sub Assemblies (OSA's). These modules incorporate SELFOC® or ball lens technology optimized for data communications signal transmission and reception. Currently, these OSA's are available for mass production and feature such benefits as high coupling efficiency, anti-reflective coating, design flexibility and VCSEL technology.
